InterProFinland EURES Workshop for Finland Works March 2023

Who is it for?

For international professionals in Finland. Event is free of charge.

What is it About?

In partnership with @EURES Suomi, join us in this one-hour session where we will learn from @EURES expert all about European Job Days and the upcoming Finland Works event in march. During this Workshop, there will also be a tutorial on how to sign up on the European Job Days portal as a Jobseeker and upload your CV to get matched with suitable jobs. There will also be allocated time for Questions and Answers where the EURES Expert will answer all your burning questions about working in Finland or getting a job within EU through the European Job Days platform.

Live Session: Improving your chances of getting hired

Who is it for?

This is a one-hour session for international talents in Finland. During the session, we will discuss how to improve your chances of landing a job in Finland. Recruitment specialists from two international companies, TELUS International and WOLT, will present their takes on CV boosting, personal branding, and securing a job interview.

What is it About?

This session is part of our mentoring program, One Mentor One, designed to enable mentees to tap into the existing knowledge, skills, and experience of a mentor in order to advance in their careers.

 

Career Connect – Meet & Greet

Who is it for?

For international professionals in Pori Satakunta, who who are currently unemployed. Career Connect – Meet & Greet is an event in partnership with Seasons HR Management, a recruitment firm in Pori, and it gives our participants the opportunity to meet experts in recruitment and find a job!

What is it About?

This event is part of our Career Connect program, which is aimed at enhancing employability by assisting international professionals to acquire the necessary knowledge for transitioning into the Finnish workforce, fine-tuning their professional skills, and taking part in recruitment/matchmaking events with local companies.

Recognition of Previous Qualifications: Who, What, & How

Who is it for?

For international professionals in Finland who have previous degrees from abroad and would want to learn more about recognition of foreign qualifications in Finland, what authorities make the decision and how to apply successfully.

What is it About?

This webinar is part of our Degree AMPLIFY program, which aims at giving support to professionals trained abroad to obtain recognition of their qualifications, helping them get employed in Finland.

Mentorship Program

Who is it for?

For international talents in Finland who would like to tap into the knowledge and expertise of those who have found their way to thrive in Finland, and have been able to build a career for themselves here in Finland.

What is it About?

Through this program, mentors can make a difference by sharing their experiences, widening perspectives, offering career and personal development tips, and giving advice to help their mentees grow. Mentorship is a positive experience both for the mentor and the mentee.

Wellness Picnic

Who is it for?

Getting back into work mood after the holidays can be a bit challenging, especially when you feel like you needed more ‘whole-days’. But worry not, InterProFinland is organising a wellness picnic to help our community members achieve a work – life balance as they return from summer break.

What is it About?

Work – Life balance.

It’s going to be a fun time hanging out and getting to know each other in a lovely equipped location in the center of Helsinki, some wellness activities led by a certified wellness coach, and a lot of good healthy🍀snacks and stuff to keep our mouths busy! 😋

Networking / Recruitment Event

Who is it for?

For those international experts, companies, recruiters, and stakeholders in Satakunta region.

What was it About?

There are a lot of hidden expertise amongst the international jobseekers in the Satakunta region, as job opportunities and vacancies through traditional channels may not reach them. This is a networking and recruitment event to enable international jobseekers and companies from Satakunta to meet in person, discover shared interests, and explore opportunities of mutual benefits.

Workshop and Personal Coaching

Who is it for?

For those international experts in Satakunta who are feeling a little lost in finding a job in the region. For those looking to boost their job search strategy and increase their employability. For those who need personal career coaching to help them through the process.

What was it About?

To assist the participants in fine-tuning their professional skills, work profiles and CVs, and enhance their employability. This is an intensive hands on training workshop on job hunting, personal branding and professional profile building, as well as job search and application. Participants will learn how to appropriately apply for a job in Finland using LinkedIn, recruiting sites, and other available resources.

Finnish Labour Market and Work culture

Who is it for?

Immigrants and internationals in Satakunta region who are unemployed, underemployed or working outside the scope of their expertise.

What was it About?

The aim is to create awareness about working in Finland, the Finnish labour market and work culture, career building in Finland, and alternative or related career paths in Finland. During the seminar, participants will also learn some of the practical ways and tools to navigate and overcome some of the finnish labour market challenges encountered by immigrants in the region.

Description

Could programs like 90 Day Finn offer new opportunities for international professionals already living in Finland? What are the possible ways that future programs like these could recognise and include the International talents already existing in Finland?

This is an avenue to share your insights and suggestions on how International Professionals in Finland can be included in programs like these or in future programs.
